Regulations of the Canton Municipality Frohibiting
the Keeping of lui-taai.
From the date of the promulgation of these regulations,
no mui-tani shall be bought or sold. If the girl is
really taken in to be cared for like a daughter, neither
party to the transaction may receive money for her person
so that buying and selling in secret under a pretence
may be stopped.
Those keeping mui-tsal prior to the date of the
promulgation of these regulations are required to
comply with the following provisions:-
(A) Registration.
Within one month from the date of promulgation of
those regulations the following particulars must be
notified and application made to the Bureau of
social affairs for registration with two of the
most recent four inch half body photographs of the
mui-tsai;-
(a) Name, age, birthplace, adcress and cocupation of
the owner.
(b) Name go, birthplace, and address of the mui-tsai.
c) Name, age, birthplace, address and occupation of
the vendor of the mu-tuai.
(d) Name, age, birthplace, address and occupation of
the "go-between" who effected the transaction.
(e) The reason for selling the girl.
